Who’s Web : (yet another) Web2 directory : the network overdose

To come back to Who’ S Web, let’s say it is well designed, pleasant.
But I wonder why nobody works to make all these Web2 services coherent, in the form of a label or an association, like for example, the Free Software Fundation who federates most of the projects of free software.
The ambition would be to give a coherence to all these services and especially to facilitate the work of the user, who worries to maintain up-to-date his social networks everywhere because all these services are only very seldom interoperables.

All the stake is to separate the data on the one hand and the service on the other hand (analogy HTML -> xml + css). In the case of a social network, it would be necessary to have only one source for its connections and then to choose the service according to the ergonomics and of the quality of the connexions which it gets, not on the captivity that he generates…
A pious wish in the short run, since the valorization of all these Web2 companies without any incomes is calculated only on the number of users. None is thus ready to share…
